How long does a session last?
Although we benefit from healing frequencies for any length of time, more healing energy is more beneficial.
Dr. Sandra Michael recommends a two-hour session at minimum to provide the time needed to enter a deep sleep cycle or deeper meditative state so a more profound level of healing may take place. Longer sessions may be appropriate for certain conditions or desired results.
What does a session look and feel like?
It is important to power ourselves down. Just as a cell phone recharges more efficiently if it is turned off, we recharge our cells more efficiently in a space of rest, deep sleep, prayer or meditation.
Some report feeling a deep sense of relaxation and calm or meditative state. Others feel a tingling or gentle buzzing sensation. Many report not sensing any noticeable changes at all.
Are there side effects?
You can never have too much healthy energy. However, as we heal, sometimes we feel worse before we feel better.
Detoxification: At some point during treatment, our bodies may have enough energy to push out what created the original dysfunction in the body. At this time, symptoms could present as more severe or look like regression, but it is a time to celebrate the body healing at a deeper level. It can mean that the dis-ease and/or toxin is finally on its way out. Many clients never experience any detoxification symptoms at all.
If you do experience a form of detox, do your best to feel thankful for your body doing whatever it takes to heal, instead of trying to suppress the symptoms.
Detox can be on a physical, emotional, mental or spiritual level.
*Note: There are no contraindications. Anyone and everyone can benefit from this healing environment.
How can I mitigate potential detox?
IMPORTANT: Always take a sea salt bath within 24 hours of your session. This allows toxins to move all the way out of your system at a faster rate, and reduces the likelihood of reabsorption. If you are unable to take a bath, please connect with us so we may come up with an alternative solution.
Try 2 cups of sea salt + 2 cups of baking soda + 1 cup of borax, and soak in a hot bath for 30 minutes.
Do not use Epsom salt (magnesium sulfate). Magnesium may be beneficial, but does not help facilitate the detox process.
Stay hydrated to help flush out the toxins. Drinking celery juice and lemon water may be beneficial to hydration and the detox process.
When the colon is dehydrated and backed up, it is common to cause a headache. Drink a full glass of water to help it clear.
How should I prepare for a session?
Please come hydrated and bring a water bottle to fill up with our purified, structured water. Staying hydrated will help facilitate the removal of toxins from your body.
We do not allow shoes in our space so please wear socks to ensure your comfort during your session.
Headphones and eye masks are complimentary if you are sensitive to sound or light.
What are the benefits of a sea salt bath?
The sea salt and baking soda act like magnets, pulling toxins, heavy metals and radiation from the body through the skin. Our skin is considered our third kidney, and serves as the body’s largest organ of elimination. As toxins become dislodged in the body, it is important that we help facilitate the full removal of them to avoid reabsorption.
